王冯元 (Feng-Yuan Wang)

Feng-Yuan was born in Anhui province in June, 1997. He has been fascinated with chemistry since high school and took part in the 28th Chinese Chemistry Olympiad in 2014. He joined the Jiao group in 2016 as an undergraduate student, and was enrolled as a graduate student in 2019.

From 2018 to 2020, he enjoyed working on total synthesis of indole alkaloid (-)-arborisidine. From 2021 to 2024, his research interests mainly focus on designing cooperative olefin ligands for transition-metal catalysis. Feng-Yuan obtained his PhD degree in June, 2024. He will start his postdoctoral research in the Tiefenbacher research group in Basel University starting in early 2025.
