Lutao’s work on N-boryl pyridyl anion chemistry published in Chem.

Congratulations to Lutao Bai for the publication of his work on modular photoredox system in Chem (doi:10.1016/j.chempr.2023.06.023)!

This work represents the latest addition to our ongoing research on N-boryl pyridyl anion chemistry. Recognizing the potential of the N-boryl pyridyl anion as a photoredox-active species that can be generated in-situ from three distinct building blocks, our goal was to transform this chemistry into a versatile photoredox system that offers unparalleled flexibility in fine-tuning its photoredox properties. Following two years of dedicated effort, Lutao has successfully achieved this milestone, developing a modular system with exceptional reduction capabilities, while also unraveling its structure-activity relationship. Congratulations to Lutao on this achievement, and we hope that you find his paper interesting and enjoyable to read.
