郑雅馨(Ya-Xin Zheng)

After graduation at Sichuan University, Ya-Xin joined the group in September, 2016. She completed the first year course study and started her research project on the development of cooperative olefin ligands for NBE-free Catellani reaction. Although the research goal seemed to be highly challenging at the beginning, she devoted herself into that project with great persistency, and finally made it possible. Her PhD work opened a new research direction of the group, which was highly appreciated during her PhD defence. In October, 2021 she obtained her PhD degree and joined WuXi-STA as a research scientist for process development.

“Firstly, I want to thank my Ph.D experience and my outstanding supervisor. What I have gained during the Ph.D career is not only the cutting-edge chemical research, but also my self-growth. In research, we might be aware of our ordinary and shortcomings, even feel frustrated with all kinds of difficulties, but we should trust ourselves and our extraordinary, which will help us to overcome increasingly difficult research problems. I like naming that ‘the power of willing’. Trust yourself, trust your chemistry and enjoy your research!”
